I lived in Wisconsin during the mid-late ‘00s, and IIRC, they were the singular hold-out in the US on requiring car insurance. I know a couple of my cooks (who had way, way nicer vehicles than myself) didn’t have insurance, but they were also working under false identities because they were straight up illegals from

It kills me that I still recall the hard rock/alternative radio stations in even the early 00's would call out Donnie Iris for doing shows in da souf side. I love the fact that my duplex on Parkview was literally a block down from where Andy Warhol was born and grew up. Also: Dan Marino apparently grew up on the same

I feel you’re missing my point, but I think I’m missing yours as well. Halfsies?

Which is why I stopped my drunken spamming. Thanks for pointing that out to me a week later.

But while there’s no question that Fox clumsily imposed I, Robot onto an unrelated original screenplay (written by Jeff Vintar), the film nonetheless honors the spirit of Asimov’s stories, even as it substitutes eye-popping action for what’s essentially a series of logic puzzles rooted in language’s ambiguity.”

I recall some article from the early ‘00s, about Dreamworks SKG, and it started out with the writer driving to some abandoned lot with Spielberg and him saying how this was going to be the Dreamworks studio back when they first formed in the 90's. My takeaway was that ambition is fine, but be realistic. Columbia is

Cancer is a shithole, and I already know it’s gonna be that or Parkinson’s/Alzheimers/random dementia that gets me. My grandmother, last of her generation, passed away at 97 in 2016. I was like, well, it’s on to my parent’s generation now, and sure enough, lost two close relatives in the last month and a half.

I’ve lived in NY for the last three years, and accents...I figured out early, when new employees were coming in, and I’d just be like, You mind just putting your name down on this post-it? I’ve found that upstate NY isn’t so bad, but dear God MA is...interesting.

The best and hardest episode to re-watch is the one with Unity, and Rick tries (and fails) to kill himself at the end. Rick is his own worst enemy. Screw genius. If you’re not happy, then fuck it.

Helen Mirren is definitely on that list. I fell in love with her all the way back in 1986 when I saw her in The Mosquito Coast. I was 10, and she was at least mid-30s. She, as well as the other actresses listed, have just gotten better and hotter as they have aged. It makes no sense to a 45 year old Rogue.

I hadn’t considered a Valkyrie film until you mentioned it. This would be great if done properly, obviously.

The Ice Storm remains in the pantheon of films that I’m glad I watched, but will never revisit. It’s also among those few films based on books that I read literally just before the movie came out, and I will never re-read the book either. Don’t get me wrong, both book and film are amazingly great, but boy, they are

No.

So this is it? The only reason I pull up the AVC on Sundays is for the Wiki Wormhole. Just like the old school AVCers like Rabin and O’Neil, I always looked for Vago. I know we all have to move on, but this column is going to be missed. Good luck, sir, and I wish you godspeed in your future.

Again, no idea about Phil and his involvement. I’m still kinda surprised that my boss during my college job was just as shocked as I was when we heard the news about Hartman’s death. If I recall correctly, Sinatra died the same day, and neither of us cared about that.

The Picard beatdowns are easily some of the best episodes. When Stewart gets going, you don’t stop him. The Drumhead is my go-to for an example. I’m gonna be highly pissed if he and Ian McKellan aren’t still around in their 100's and still making fun of each other.

sideways asshole”

Don’t forget: It apparently passed fully in the Senate, but 14 GOP reps refused to vote. Assholes be assholing.

I was very proud of how I always had Thanksgiving off. I’m a professional chef, and it lasted for 20+ years until 2019, when I finally ended up working on Turkey Day. At a ski resort. Where we were twiddling our thumbs. Yeah, we did some cleaning, but then I just flat out told my staff, sorry. Do whatever you want,

I have it on good word that apparently us men in my family are doing all right in that area.
