I worked at Belmont Park for more than a few years, and we had a three door steamer that I swear was from a hundred years ago. The closure on the doors were big ass cylindrical, and it worked perfectly. I could do multiple hotel pans of rice at a time and 45 minutes later, perfection. Never needed work, clean it out

The same for dog hair. My neighbor has a dog with his GF and there are days when I don’t see/run into them at all, and I still find dog hair on my coat/pants/whatever. I’m in upstate NY, and we’re in a two unit building...It’s crazy where fur just does what it wants and you can do nothing about it.

I was modestly impressed with the outside, but when I scrolled down to the pic of the inside...I literally said, Oh My.

What I’m saying is, my dog shot JFK.”

My high school class took a trip to Toronto (stupid long story that has nothing to do with this) and aside from getting to see the Parliment building where RUSH had that iconic picture for their album Moving Pictures, we also visited a very, shall we say, interesting museum of arts and sciences. I remember nothing

“The Best” is a subjective assessment, everyone has a favorite for personal reasons.”

I’d put “All that and Gargantua 2" on the same level. Perhaps the Halloween special as well, ‘cause it showed that Doc and Publik still had a handle on things. They definitely lost sight around season four or so, but the last two seasons? Holy crap. It’s like they both woke up and got back to business.

I grew up in the North (OH to be exact) and while I did see racism growing up, it was a whole new world when I moved south for work. First kitchen I worked in in OH, I was the token white guy with a bunch of guys from Central and South America. NC and GA, I was still the token white guy but it was all black guys and

This is a true fact. I would end up doing double shifts when managing my place downtown, and we were right next to another restaurant (go figure) and I would often take 30 minutes between service and grab a shot and a beer, and just casually loiter around. Ya know, catch up with all the other local business owners and

Am I the only person who knows about the fact that Adult Swim has their own website? And you can marathon nearly all their shows?

I lived in GA for about five years, and having previously lived in NC during the 2008 election, it’s crazy the differences. I lived in Uptown Charlotte, NC during ‘08, and my precinct had probably 20 machines for voting. Eight years later, during ‘16, I lived a mile outside of downtown Savannah, GA, and my precinct

All Duck Lives Matter

I was highly disappointed that this was not about Jack Nicholson doing one last film.

I’m still holding onto hope that some random network will pick up Venture Bros. That C.N./A.S. dropped the ball is...crazy. I mean, you’ve already invested all this time and money, what are you really losing to just keep it going??

Thanks for reminding me that I used to have the complete Calvin & Hobbes courtesy of my sister, and don’t anymore thanks to a flood in a storage unit.

Whenever I get back to my city of origin, I like to drive to the various places that my relatives lived. I know, it’s kinda creepy, but the point is that the road leading to one of my grandparents still has the curbside cement for an entryway to a housing development...that was started in 1993 and just went nowhere.

They honestly don’t make movie trailers like this anymore. Yeah, it does kinda go too in depth to the story and plot, but still leaves enough to the imagination to make you want to watch it. And split screen really needs to come back, at least for trailers.

Uh, yep. I’d post links but I’m not going down that road again. Amazingly my branch of fundamentalism wasn’t -that- crazy, but it was damn near close. Get married, have kids ASAP, and stay in the church. And the kids ain’t going to public school.

That Evil Dead 2 poster is beyond iconic. I love the movies, and even the series (RIP), but that poster image is just...amazing. Someone says “Evil Dead” and that’s what comes into my head.

It was right before an interview with the owner. The guy was -somewhat- connected to the DC music scene and Ian was just leaving after a meeting about future funding (?). I was never clear on the details, didn’t involve me, and our conversation was maybe all of 5-10 minutes. I mentioned that I only had five CDs at my
