I have three kids, and the visual of the paint peeling off the burning wall where Jack and Rebecca marked their kids’ height was a gut punch. Every physical manifestation of their family erased in a few minutes. I also don’t know that I’m going to be able to watch Jack’s actual death.

I feel like he knows how badly he fucked up with Sophie. There’s real feeling between them but I’d agree it’s all implied; we never see the good times. The others seemed like deliberate self-sabotage.

To clarify, I don’t really have any problem with the reviews. I think the critiques were fair, but the good outweighed the bad for me. The particular randomish assignment of writer-to-show sure ruined the reviewer’s day and the show’s scores, though!

Yeah, odd show, which I think I liked.
