Because everyone in this administration is tacky AF. Except maybe Pence, he’s too fucking weird to be tacky.

A friend of a friend made my table for $250 (I realize this is a freaking bargain). The sucker is heavy and I’ve yet to be injured and I’ve had it for 2 years, so I believe it’s also very, very safe.

Yesterday, I realized I had put all the leftovers in containers the night before and left the containers on the counter so no lunch, I dropped my water bottle and it spilled everywhere in my car and to top it all off, I was wearing my shirt inside out and not one kid told me until freaking 6th hour.

I have students who are witty and smart and self-aware and I have students who I seriously wonder how they get through the day.

I had parents at a parent teacher conference ask me (well the mom did all this talking) about their daughter’s grades. She was doing well. Then the mother asked me about her attitude and I told them I never had problems with her. And that was the truth, she was and is super pleasant to have in class - no attitude and

My pug slept in my bed. He was a hard sleeper and wouldn’t wake up for nothing. He also wasn’t a cuddler while sleeping. He would get on his blanket at the foot if the bed until I shook him awake in the morning.

Word. I have a friend who came out at the age of 35 two years ago and he loves this book and I wish he could have had it when he was a teen.

It’s not just the uber-wealthy. I teach at a small rural school. It is not very diverse and it certainly isn’t rich. I’ve had to have the “poor people don’t get college paid for” and “the DACA kids aren’t taking all the financial aid” conversations way too many times this year.

Now I need to reconsider my whole purge plan. I thought it was Sephora and a bookstore but now I think it may be just stealing all the cheese I can’t afford

Personally, I’d be tempted to clean out Sephora and a bookstore.

I’m not a Devin fan but I’ve enjoyed him the last couple of episodes only because he gets under Johnny’s skin.

It’s nice that they’ve finally decided to take a stand against bullying. I mean they could’ve done so when Jordan told Jemmye she had a Down Syndrome face. Or, they could’ve taken that stand when Camilla went on a racist tirade, was allowed to stay on the show and was invited back to another show. But this is a step

I would 100% be on board with a Bekah Bachelorette. She’s at least entertaining which is a lot more than the rest of them. Plus, if she had been named bachelorette, we would have been able to watch Tia’s meltdown on live tv. Producers missed the boat on that one.

Well, how else will they prove that they are manly men if they aren’t allowed to shoot large animals and then display their trophy kills?

The move to strike in Oklahoma is gaining momentum on social media but Oklahoma teachers have not. Yet.

    Would be here for that.

Sandra Brown was my intro to romance novels at the tender age of 13 or 14. Her Texas novels about siblings were my crack.

I don’t hold pencils “correctly.” I used to spend a lot of time in the pre-k class when I was a special ed para and they had pencil grips on all the pencils to help the kids hold them correctly. I could never write with the grip on.

Same. And honestly I can’t really tell you what other people are wearing because I’m focused on getting to the end of my workout because exercise is the worst.

She sang it how I sing it when it comes on TV and I’m home alone.
