I spent most of my senior English class this morning talking down students who are super stressed about being shot at school. I feel like the biggest issue was the original tweeter saying it was the end of the world and she was told to die, etc. And none of that was true. She just double-downed on the original insensitive tweet.

My sister who is rather religious hates the “Jesus told me” or the “God is guiding me this way” crowd. According to her, it’s people wanting to do what they want to do but they won’t own it so they lay at Jesus’ feet and that’s not cool.
