God bless us F-eryone!

An F! A glorious F! It’s a Christmas miracle! Thank you, St. Ignatiy! Thank you for the amount and depth of film and literary history to a pan of economics-driven filmic shovelware! I didn’t expect to learn about the provenance of Sherlock Holmes adaptations and original texts.

I was too old for Spongebob when it came out, and dismissed it as a kind of Ren and Stimpy also-ran. It wasn’t until my daughter started getting into the show a few years ago and I was amazed how wrong I was. It’s a rare balancing act that can blend sweet, good-hearted goofiness with absurdist, sometimes disturbing

Don’t be sad. He had a really good, long run. Now he rests. Instead, smile and remember all the good shit he gave to the world.

Not since David Bowie have I felt so genuinely upset about the death of someone I've never met.

It’s hard to know what to say. I’m a gay man who got pretty screwed up by my particular religious upbringing and had a very hard time articulating my sexuality to my father (who is an infinitely better man than Mac’s dad). So that final dance was brutal (and my god, if you ever doubted De Vito can act watch his

You can take the person trash out of Fox News the trailer park, but you can’t take the Fox News trailer park out of the person trash.

You can take the person out of Fox News, but you can’t take the Fox News out of the person.

I say both sides should meet in the middle and #CancelFamilyGuy

I liked the episode a lot until it turned into yet another Marge/Homer marriage episode. The Woolf spoof seemed out of place to me. It was too jarring in the sense that they set up a routine episode, threw in a high concept spoof of a movie from 50 years ago out of nowhere, and went right back to the routine episode.

I’d give it a B+. The middle of the episode was a little meh, but the ending supremely paid off in a very Seinfeld-esque tying of loose ends and lead-ups. Conor Galvin penned a great episode. All the character motivations were valid.

“[Charlie’s] not my boyfriend, I can do much better.”
“THEN WHY DON’T YOU, MAC?”

“I am a 2018 Range Rover woman! I AM A GOLDEN GODDESS!”

Mac and Charlie beat the shit outta those kids.

The slow motion shot —Marvel style— of Mac punching the annoying leader of the punks, was so satisfying I had to temper my glee by reminding myself they were beating up a bunch of kids.

I agree it wasn’t as good as last week’s (few eps were), but my God, that ending....Mac and Charlie beating up children, Dee banging a kid and Frank being shocked that an old Asian lady followed traffic laws..

As a devoted fan who’s seen every episode, I have several recurring issues with the show’s HD era:

In what way was it tearing apart #MeToo? I only saw it tearing apart the toxic behavior of people that don’t understand the movement (Charlie, Mac, Frank) or exploit the movement for their own gains (Dennis and Dee).

Fuck your weak ass McMuffin. Their Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit is soooo much better. And those bitches don't sell it all day, breakfast all day my ass. Weak.
