I'd argue that the air conditioning subplot in S3 did a lot for Troy's character, actually. It was continuing Troy's journey into adulthood, making him realize that he can't "just watch TV with his friend" forever, and must instead build towards a career of some kind. He spent most of that season actively trying to

Heisler: "No, Pa, she's my NBC sitcom actress. I'll do it."

First season is ok, second season has a great premiere and then gets terrible, but starts to gradually get better around the halfway point. Third season has been pretty great so far.

The caption on this one was literally "Another list from The AV Club."

You know what a good pilot would do? Not hit the birds!

I'm really digging these first two episodes. Hopefully the show picks up good word-of-mouth fast.

30 Rock is the first show that I began watching from day one and stayed through to the end. It's a significant part of who I am at this point, and while I may have developed relationships with other shows, it all comes back to this special, incredible program for me. Thank you, NBC, for allowing this show to air all

It's as if thousands of voices began crying out jokes about lens flares, and were suddenly silenced.

It was from before the show started, just as a quick joke.

My favorite is "Larry King," if only because it contains the line:
