I don't think anybody was thinking that.

Justin Beiber grew up in Southern Ontario, which is as close to growing up American as a Canadian can get. Plus, he has lived for the last 3or4 years in the US. Plus, he has been mentored by African-Americans who are fully aware of the history and memes of racism in your country. And, if that's not enough . . . Bling.

Seriously! Who are all these Americans that think Canada is some utopian anti-racist sheltered society? Canadians can do racism with the best of 'em. Quebec is trying to get a super racist law passed that bans religious head coverings in all public services right now.

He's from Southeastern Ontario.

Close enough to the US to pick up our radio stations.

The closest large city to his hometown, London, ON, is Buffalo, NY, which has a huge Black population, and very racist White suburbs. The second closest city to his hometown is Detroit, an 82% Black city surrounded by violently racist

Who are all these "It's just a monkey" people? Who the hell are you? What planet do you come from? Are you sick in the head? Completely oblivious to issues of race in the United States?

For everyone saying, "Couldn't this just be a harmless picture of an actual monkey?" please note 1) hoop earrings, 2) nose ring, 3) heavy gold jewelry around neck, 4) gold tooth, 4) pronounced arm muscles.

This is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever read on Jezebel. She bought a product without thinking about she would actually use it.

Seriously. Seriously?!?! What you should have done (as should anyone buying a phone) is get one that suits your hand size. Because the market is saturated with a varying degree of smartphones - some big, some small - pick the one that works for your needs and size.

For one thing, my five year old was complaining that he couldn't play well on an ipod touch because it was too small! Either my five year old have freakishly huge hands (he doesn't) or this article just brought up a bunch of bull.

Really? This is what we're bitching about now? "I bought something that doesn't fit all of my needs perfectly, so it's the manufacturer's/society's fault, and I'm gonna bitch"?

"Wah wah, technology hasn't yet been miniaturized to the point where a touch screen phone is perfectly molded to my hand. I just HATE those sexist scientists! Who do they think they are, not having shrunk incredibly complicated technology to a miniscule size that perfectly suits ME! DON'T THEY GET IT? IT'S ALL ABOUT

1) I'm confused as to why it is that you can hold one hand higher than both hands

Okay, maybe I'm missing something here but who forced Tufekci into using a larger smartphone? She doesn't have a say in what she can/cannot use?

123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm compared to 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm OMG!!! I CANT HANDLE IT!!!!! ITS JUST SO LARGE NOW!!!!!!! What am I going to do now that I can't reach that extra 13 mm!?! Stupid ass article.

Yeah, I'm not sure this is an actual thing. My wife and I both have the Samsung Note II, which is about as big of a phone as you're going to find. When we first got them we were both pretty clumsy with them. However, as we used them it became clear that my wife's ability to maneuver the phone with one hand was far

No. Just no. Bullshit.

I would like to know what size of phone she had, and what size is actually ideal.

I'm a pretty hardcore feminist normally but I'm a bit dubious about this for a couple of reasons.

What? I have "giant man hands" and the touch keypads on most smart phones are so ridiculously tiny it's impossible for me to use. I have to have an Android phone with a slide screen full keyboard, because trying to use a touch screen keyboard when my thumbs are three times as wide as the letter I'm trying to hit
