I have also found that if your greens still have their stems, trimming them and putting them in a glass of water in the fridge doubles their life. Like a bouquet of flowers, only with kale!

This baffles me as well. I guess I'm a kale hipster because I've been eating it (and growing it in my garden) for years and years and, like, it's not that hard to cook? If you can cook spinach, you can cook kale. Tear some up on a plate, drizzle some water over it, put it in the microwave, zap for 2 minutes, dress

Thank you for saying this. I don't understand all of these people saying kale is difficult to prepare. WHAT???? I steam it for 2 minutes and DONE-ZO. Or, I have it raw. Or, pop a bunch in the blender with other veggies/ fruit to make a veggie drink mix. Seriously, ever since becoming obsessed with kale, my food prep

I do not get the kale hate either. It lasts for like 2 weeks in my fridge. It is very cheap. And you can put it in everything because it is so sturdy. What do they mean it is hard to cook? Just eat it raw - rip it up a bit and make a kale salad. Now that I am used to kale, spinach and other large leafed greens

Picking a fight with kale is an interesting idea, and one I approve of. Kale has become supercool, supersexy somehow.

As others have pointed out, your swimsuit is not protection from any fluids in the water. To say nothing of the fact that THEY WERE IN THE OCEAN. A few hundred skinny dippers ain't nothin when you're swimming amid whale semen and urine.

You know that even when swimsuits are required at the pool you're still swimming in a broth of buttholes and ballsacks, right?

Your swimsuit does absolutely nothing to contain your body fluids.

Do you think the water doesn't seep in and out of those same orifices just because you have a bathing suit on? Think about men's swim trunks, too.

I am a huge social media user and I love it. I don't feel the policy restricts my use because I don't really say anything on SM that I wouldn't stand by or take accountability for in real life.

I almost stroked out with rage. Jesus Christ, what the fuck is wrong with people. How anyone could ever think that making fun of a victim of any kind by making a costume out of it is beyond me. Thinking back to April 15, 2013 makes me sick to my stomach every single time. She is a disgusting, worthless piece of

I think we have a tendency to forget that even the victimized in life can still be assholes. Surviving something doesn't give you a lifetime free behavior pass.

Errr...it would be hard to work with someone who is racist/sexist/homophobic but not someone who openly mocks the death/maiming/and extreme pain experienced by men, women and children? Could you work next to someone who made it clear that she thought that people getting impaled with metal fragments from a pressure

She wore that costume to work.

I think that she deserves the job loss and the public shaming, not the threats. There's some things that can't be written off as just being young and dumb. There's some things that point to a deeply flawed and callous character.

That "kid" can sign contracts, apply for loans, get married, go to grad school, buy beer and join the armed forces. Don't give me that shit that she is the same as a 15 or 16 year-old.

I do not feel sorry for her one bit. You would have to be a fucking idiot to NOT know her costume was out hurtful. Being 22 she knew fair well what was going to happen when she posted this on line. So her attention whoring blew up in her face and she got really shitty threats. I would summon some give a shit for her

I'm not remotely surprised that people had such heated reactions to this incident because (a) there will never be enough fucking distance from the Boston Marathon bombings to make it funny and (b) the Internet is the ultimate platform for posting awful, immediate reactions because there's generally no accountability.

The threats are repugnant, sure. But the fact that she's whining about how painful it is being threatened with rape since she was a victim of it...while dressed up as a bombing victim? Talk about disconnect and self-indulgence. I have no sympathy for her.

While the response was thoroughly shitty, and definitely not constructive, I find it hard to feel that bad for her.
