It might not be an “official” mental disorder/phobia, but that doesn’t mean it’s not real for many people. It is, at the very least, far more than just a “made-up internet meme.” Like many things, the internet simply enabled more people to realize that they weren’t alone in their fears over a specific thing.

Yeah it’s always weird to a see a millionaire streamer get a $500-$1000 donation and barely react because they’re so used to it. Why would anyone even give them that much!?

That’s literally why it’s great, and why past Xbox and Playstation designs have also been great (for the most part). It’s part of the background, focusing on the media and games it plays, not the damn box.

Yeah except a car is something you drive around and show off. A game console is something that sits on the shelf and plays media and games. Apples and oranges.

Xbox won the console design game HARD this generation. The Series X seemed large when it was first announced, but the PS5 is simply ridiculous . When I add a new piece of hardware to my series of black media boxes under my TV, I would like that hardware to also be a black box. I don’t understand designing a console

I have watched a half dozen unboxing videos now, and read several articles, and it feels like the presenter/journalists do backflips to not critique the design. They all mention how huge it is of course, but it makes me wonder if that was part of the NDA to not comment on the ugly design.

It’s so damn ugly. I understand people appreciating that it’s “different,” but my god. It just looks so bad in every single one of the setups shown in this article.

That was a joy to watch. AOC and Omar are absolute badasses. I hope they stay in politics and continue riling up old rich white men as long as possible!

Yeah the fact that we know your character has their own voice, but instead is represented by a bizarre floating Elmo kid that everyone just accepts is normal... is a bit odd. I really hope there is a questline that goes through wtf Paimon actually is.

I am firmly in the “wait, I thought I hated her... do I actually like her now!?” camp. Let’s be clear: Paimon’s type of character is certainly an anime trope, and things like her referring to herself in the third-person just add fuel to my flaming hatred. Also, the “silent protagonist” trope in video games needs to

“I got a really good picture,” absolutely killed me... no pun intended. I can see this being pretty scary in VR for sure, but otherwise it looks like a fun jankfest!

I remember reading about how the Halo show faced troubles because “audiences can’t identify with a masked character who doesn’t show their face.” *ahem* Hello The Mandalorian. Sigh.

That was incredible. They absolutely nailed how silly Minecraft is, and even how people play it (like the “crouch taunt” at the start).

I actually try to unblock Gawker sites every few months to see if things are better, and every single time I regretfully have to reenable it because they just get worse and worse. It’s insane. There are plenty of sites that I’m able to unblock without it literally hindering my reading of the content. Kotaku/Gawker

A couple misinterpretations here. I never said I’m “not interested” in a PS5, and I’m not less interested simply because next-gen games are coming to current-gen consoles. My point about the PS5 relates to their presentation, and the fact that Sony twisted truths, misinformed, and reversed commitments and statements

Not everyone had the luxery of waiting 45 minutes to order, so it was more than a minor inconvenience. I personally know two friends who only had a small period to get their preorder in due to work, and because two of the largest retailers waited an hour, they had fewer places to order from and came away empty handed.

Ok but deciding to randomly make their stock available late without telling anyone isn’t exactly handling it “fairly well.” That’s a cop-out approach that doesn’t respect those who DO follow the announced launch time, and forces more traffic on those sites launch. It’s very possible that had all sites actually gone

Because much of Trump’s following has become very cult-like, logical statements like yours aren’t even considered by many (if not most) of his supporters. Logic, facts, or educated views weren’t a part of his first presidential campaign, and he’s just doubled (tripled?! quadrupled?!) down on fallacies, lies, and

It’s mind-blowing to me that even websites like Amazon still can’t handle large product launches in 2020. I think the only company that seems to have it figured out is Apple. During the couple times I’ve ordered a popular Apple product at launch from Apple.com, I don’t recall even seeing the site stutter. Those

It’s so refreshing to see a take on Apple Arcade that isn’t just “Durrr not enough good games.” Since launch, I’ve had like 5-6 great games from Apple Arcade installed on my phone and/or iPad at any given moment. Hell, the $5 a month for me is worth it just to play Grindstone after it’s recent huge content updates.
