Yes! Folt refused to concede to the group of racists and Confederate sympathizers on UNC’s Board of Governors (appointed by the Republicans who stole the state legislature) by allowing the remains of the statue to be torn down. Technically, she resigned, but she burned that bridge for good cause.

Yes! It was so much about her confidence and the way she presented herself. I’m struck by the relatively long pauses between her declarative sentences (to sound authoritative, I assume).
