This week I maintained an organically good mood for four days in a row, which is a big deal for me. I’m coming out of a long, health-related funk (Thanks, Essure!).

Days when you lose a beloved pet are always the worst days. I had my last dog for 13 years. I’m sorry.

It’s also an excellent novel by Lionel Shriver, which I found even more terrifying than the movie because it plumbed the depths of the Tilda Swinton character’s psychological misery in ways the movie couldn’t.
