River Song is my goddess and I will forever love her. I hope to see her badass self again one day. (And the fact that she’s played by an older woman just makes her that much more awesome.)
I usually don’t see eye to eye with you on these episodes, but what the heck, as of right now, I really agree with you on this one.
It was good, but I’m struck by the callousness of building a fancy restaurant on the exact same spot where a horrific mass death has just occurred. That was a bit where Moffat’s desire to be clever (by having the Doctor time-lapse forward in the same spot) got ahead of his regard for ramifications and logic.
Its very simple. About 15 years ago she lost her husband Dr. Mark Greene to brain cancer. He was a successful ER doctor in Chicago. After mourning his death for some time she decided to re-invent herself.
