The Countess' character got better as the season went along. I'm a Lady Gaga fan, but it was like they got Gaga for this season and started writing the character as Lady Gaga as a vampire. They didn't figure out a name for her until later.

Actually, it would have been a shock if someone else was the killer. I could tell it was John from the first episode. The serial killer dinner sealed it for me. I still have enjoyed this season. Not one of the best, but still better than most of the crap on TV.
