In the state in which I live, you have to show proof of current registration to be insured. Ipso facto, if you're driving an unregistered vehicle, you're also driving an uninsured vehicle

Well, I was saying just that: draconian seems more appropriate for a political regime that doesn’t provide healthcare.

People weren’t mailing in donations like they were with the in-person peer pressure.

But can you say the same for the inevitably jam-packed terminals?

Yes, there will be some people that need to fly to get home due to the reasons you listed. This admonishment doesn’t apply to them. Choosing to travel to grandma’s just for her turkey this year is more than selfish. You’ll get another thanksgiving next year. Grandma might not if you infect her with the COVID. Stay

Sure, some of them do.

Most of them don’t. If she’s not talking about you, then don’t get mad about it.

So do all of those cars with expired plates not have insurance?

I think they just use the money to print more stickers for government employees to take home, but like fun ones of unicorns and dragons and stuff

That is... not the case with this fella. He may have saved $3,600 these last 30 years avoiding a renewal, but he’s getting the full fine. A mere $110 seems pretty paltry when you consider the fact that this vehicle has probably been uninsured for the past few years, if not during the entire 30 years.”

Person on the internet states that things are impermanent, news at 11

You seemed to have missed the point, your original protestations are “but what me as an individual, I am personally a good driver.” Again, this isn’t how insurance works. Insurance companies don’t care about you as an individual. Insurance is an aggregate activity. This “what about me!” attitude is why we don’t have

This isn’t how insurance works, but it’s the epitome of “what about me” individualistic American philosophy

I can’t imagine the insurance company would be too happy with me turning the traction control off in the snow because my car’s system is so horribly inadequate that it does more harm than good.

But the nice thing about them high school girls is, you keep gettin’ older and they stay the same age.

Spot on. And what’s funny is this guy will probably get his 15 grand from someone who was 17 when these were new, wanted one just for that purpose back then, and now has some disposable cash and wants to re-live his “glory” days. I swear, some people just stop developing mentally around the time they finish high

I voted CP because I’m not a short 17 year old in high school with questionable facial hair looking to cruise the boulevard or drive around the parking lot after a football game and not get laid. So, I don’t need a Trans Am

Alright take your star damn you.

I saw this EXACT image posted on a political blog in an entirely different context not 10 minutes ago.  It’s equally valid in either posting, but man are they different.  :)
