They are absolutely a transitional tech, and I think you’ve got a point that we may be running out the clock on using a transitional technology at all.

If you buy a hybrid though, you’re not ditching ICE. I think ICE has a place in the market for the foreseeable future—in PHEVs. BEVs aren’t practical for everyone yet, but PHEVs could be practical for anybody right now today.
