“Hey Siri, how long do parents have to wait before declaring their kids missing if I kidnap them?”

“A) what law(s) prevent you from recovering your property and B) how would the police know you went and recovered it from a thief”

That’s not true, it’s a myth born from too much Law & Order and repetition. There is no waiting period for a person to be declared missing and it’s highly dependent on circumstances. If your husband doesn’t come home from the bar and you call the police and tell them he’s missing, they probably won’t take you

That sounds like a good way for Kotaku to go out of business

I can see someone buying a service warranty from Carvana and then after their title experience not wanting to deal with Carvana for the duration of that warranty. If a dealership burned me during the sale, I’d consider dumping the car and buying elsewhere if I knew I had a long relationship with the crappy dealer

Thanks so much for the thorough response, I appreciate it!

Thanks for the reply and all of the info! It doesn’t seem like there’s a great deal of focus on producing engines like this in our current car market. The focus always seems to be on maximizing HP, but as a consumer I’d be more interested a lot of the time in a hardy engine that’s never going to leave me stranded

Thanks for the info! How is lower compression accomplished in engine design typically?

Interesting, the highway miles makes sense

I can believe it! I’ve seen a few trucks and other vehicles explode and it’s a real mindfuck to watch something you know is so heavy and typically sturdy get thrown around like a toy

That makes sense, just a slight shift in verbiage

Ah interesting, thanks David! I look forward to this teaching moment

General question about engines here, if anyone has time. The Escape’s engine is described as “understressed” and that’s explained as “underpowered.” Could anyone, ideally David Tracy (although I understand if I’ve burned him over the years with my Jeep hatred), expand on that?

I enjoyed listening at work, thanks guys. I got a lot out of playing WoW with my brother back when it came out and later Destiny. I agree with Mike that there’s a time of life where MMOs seem to fit; going back to Destiny, I feel like I’ve outgrown my personal desire for them in my life

Train that size going that fast...vaporize anything in front of it

A Hotel room that size going that fast...vaporize anything in front of it

Sorry, but this “10 percent signing a bunch of forms with someone in finance who actually seemed to work for a living” is the exact opposite of every car-buying experience I’ve ever had. The sales people are invariably tolerable and have seemed like they actually had to hustle to interact with customers and the

What a shitty Cenobite you would make if Pinhead came to collect you and NFTs were your excess that he had to punish. Way lamer than Butterball, you'd have a bunch of popped collars piercing your throat and multiple fist-bumping fists coming out of places fists have no business coming out of

Excellent

No no, please continue, I'm interested in hearing more about these footguns
