That doesn't mean it's not disrespectful, off-putting, and contrary to the female-friendly message that Marvel has been trying to send for the last couple years.

And she KNITS SWEATERS for everyone. Knitters make the best moms.

Yet another person who fails to get that it's not about being prudish but parity. If Spider-man was genuinely depicted as sexually as Spider-woman then this conversation wouldn't exist.

Because it doesn't fucking sell, that's why. It's utter bullshit to use that as a reason. If half-naked covers sold then pretty much every female character would have a successful book. It's pathetically adolescent to force your female action adventures heroes to look like porn stars while your male characters do not.

If you think wanting female superheroes not to be sexualized any more than male superheroes is haughty, then it's not so much me on a high horse as you in a sexist gutter. I just look high up from where you are.

...also known as the people they'd like to buy their books and it's in the best interest of a business that's seen better days not to piss them off. Marvel is open about wanting more female customers. Hiring a soft core porn artist is not the way to go and what's sad is they had to be told this. Loudly.

I posted one of them a while back. The significant difference in terms of art is where the eye line is drawn. When art is made the lines and coloring and "weight" of an image is designed to draw the viewer's attention to a particular point on an image. Examples of that are easy to find.

The difference between the

Well, I thought that anyone could see there's a difference between a body flat on curved plane and a body raised on a flat plane, but clearly not. Io9 discussed this just last week.

That image was shown to be completely different a while back. He is sitting on a ball, hence the splayed legs, and his back is rounded up instead of arched back (no doubt to allow better penetration, since SW is apparently in heat). Amongst other rebuttals.

Yeah, this "double-standard" rebuttal has already been put this under the microscope, and utterly refuted. So...kudos for trying, maybe.

Yeah, that dumbass attempt at a rebuttal was shot down awhile back by people actually understand art and know what "perspective" "focus" and "intent" all mean.

Manara was never at blame to me. This what he does. You don't hire him unless that's what you want. The problem was the idiot who hired an erotic artist to do female superheroes (let's make this clear; no one hired him to do Captain America or Spider-man variants) thinking it wouldn't be a problem and the people who

Most of these point more to uninspired writing than any legitimate intentional connections.

I'm loathe to validate anything about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. But stick with me here; it's a little meta.

Yes, it had continuity issues. All the X-Movies have. And some aren't (Alex being older than Scott isn't a continuity flaw - its a CHANGE from the comic - different issue).

First Class was never a reboot. They were always clear that it was a direct prequel. Why people keep saying that baffles me.

You say '80's and cheesy you gotta go with something that has Molly Ringwald

In my opinion, this is because there is finally an actual reason for older iPhone users to upgrade, namely the updated screen size. I honestly believe that Apple has been repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot by adamantly refusing to realize that their "perfect" screen size wasn't really all that perfect. Not

Well I've been using my flagship Android Note 3 for well over a year now and it is the smoothest, fastest experience possible. There is no lag, crashing or anything, so...
