Batman and Return of the Joker for the NES were fire, and Batman Returns for the SNES was a great beat-em up.

I never was huge on 8 bit era chiptunes unless I was exposed to them while playing the game they came from. This cat is prolific though for this song alone..

Yeah, Double Dragon seemed to have very little quality control over the primary decade it was active. It sucked more often than not. I don’t dig the Rare stuff, and even the original arcade game could be considered an acquired taste.

I turned 30 in 1999. My first “consoles” were early arcade machines in my local shopping mall.

I wish I had some of my older console boxes like the Genesis and N64. But yeah, it's part of the "package" for me, so I've held onto every console and handheld box since the PS3 era. Plus I move a lot, so it's handy to have them for more than nostalgic reasons

and lets not forget kabuki warriors (which came out 4 days later). Definitely agree xbox had one of the best launch lineups ever, possibly other than dreamcast. 

But each of the previous ones had at least one must-have exclusive game in there. Xbox had Halo, 360 had (as silly as it may sound) Geometry Wars, and Xbox One had Killer Instinct.
