Or you could own both, like I do. But let’s be serious. Not only does Scott Pilgrim look miles better, I’m amazed you think River City Girls played better. It’s both clunkier and has RPG mechanics shoehorned in that bring nothing to the table. Most of the unlockable moves add no mechanical advantage. It’s actually…
Personally i’m getting REAL sick of people acting like Mania was the only good Sonic game in years when that’s blatantly not true, Unleashed and Generations were also arguably pretty damn good.
Personally i’m not interested in Mania 2, I want a full-on remake of Sonic Adventure.
As much as I can agree that the core mechanics are continually at odds with each other, there are genuine euphoric delights to be had in the series. I’ve been playing since the beginning. Even 06 had moment of transcendence. There’s nothing else quite like Sonic when they nail the level design, give you a good field…
I just cant game on my iPhone 11, i like console games and dont like carrying around a controller addon. (And touch controls are terrible for all games)
The problem wasn’t the gameplay, but the tight lipped nature of the marketing and the fact the beta was an extremely poor representation of the final product. Which, funny enough, is what a beta actually would be. However, in these days, people hear “beta” and think “demo”. The beta build everyone played the past few…
So a single player game with a 10-15 hours campaign at $60 with no replayability with potentially paid DLC is ok with you but a $60 with a 10-15 hours single player campaign with tons of multiplayers content added on top of it and free DLC is not ok.
This comment is so toxic lmao
I agree, but there’s a happy medium there. You can announce a game a few months before release instead of several years. Right now we know of zero first-party Nintendo games releasing for the next five months. As far as we know, Nintendo is done releasing games for 2020. So Nintendo is doing the opposite of what you…
Only N64 game I ever had where you held the controller by the outer two fangs. I loved that game. I’d love to go back and get to see the whole ending.
You’ve got amazing taste. I replayed Sonic CD recently and it finally clicked for me. Also Super Mario Land 2 is the series’ actual “hidden gem.”
Pizza places with arcade machines. Kids these days will never know. /sigh
what if they’re not someone’s personal favorites tho

Our own Nathan Grayson told me, “this is my chance to keep alive the memory of Mischief Makers for the Nintendo 64, so I guess I have to contribute this time!”
But then he got busy and forgot or something. RIP.

I am fascinated by the opinion that Sonic 1 is better than Sonic 2 or Sonic 3&K or Sonic Mania, let alone one of the best three platformers of all time. I’m not looking to argue against you (I disagree, but as someone whose Top 3 movie list includes friggin Speed Racer I’m not trying to shit on things folks like) but…
I mean, shooting is a big part of the Uncharted games, but equally large is jumping around and climbing and such. It’s beyond just having platforming elements. Platforming is a core feature of the game.
Just here to verify tony hawk 3 is at the 1 spot, well done Zachary!
The Saturn was a very much loved console, just not in the United States.
32X is far from a gold mine.
The Saturn is very much beloved. It’s just that most of their good games stayed in Japan.
