Yep... it was really odd because I was so active here back in the day..

Yeah I hardly interact or even visit this site that much these days for that reason.. I’ve been commenting here for over a decade and at one point I wasn’t grey but then one day I was. Kind of made it felt like my comments were second hand so my participation and eventually my site visits became less and less.

I took so much advantage of console rentals growing up. Left my Genesis at home when I went to my grandparent’s house one weekend.. rented one. After a slumber party, a friend left some SNES games at my house.. rented one.

Yeah.. I mean that’s life but when it’s pointed out it’s like dang dude. Feels like yesterday and not nearly 25 years ago that I was standing really close to my 13 inch Emerson TV with 2 Stunners playing the copy of Virtua Cop 2 I had just gotten for my 14th birthday.

Jokingly calling you old to try to make myself feel better about seeing an article celebrating the 25th bday of a console that defined my middle and early high school years.

“As a teen,”

Ok.. I will not have you all sit here and bad mouth Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic R.. I loved those games back then.

Now playing

@3:12 “To anyone who knew me better, know I chose Saturn first cause it’s 2D heaven. Bernie Stolar dropped the bomb with the RAM cartridge, X-Men vs Street Fighter could’ve expanded the market.”

Good times! Next Gen was one of my favorite magazines and I had a subscription. I remember sitting in my dad’s truck thumbing through that Jan 97 issue with the black Net Yaroze PS1 (that was essentially a dev kit) on the cover. I played the heck out of that game and still have my copy.

I rocked a Saturn/Nintendo 64 combination back in those days (I was in middle school). Greatest time of my life (as far as games go).

Blindsided devs too.. led to less support from stores and developers.

This isn’t a new trend and the stripper and drinking thing isn’t dead either.. it just depends on the person.

That's not how it works.

Awful examples.. there’s a reason that they called Super Mario RPG that instead of Super Mario World 3.

I knew. I initially had forgotten about it until firing up Quantum Break for the first time a few weeks ago and loving it. Ever since then, I’ve been greatly anticipating it. Astral Chain is probably higher on my list because Platinum and I love police stuff in video games.

Streets of Rage 2.

Yep.. I’m not a huge movie guy.. I always have a good time when I go since most theaters nowadays are like a Chili's or something lol but prior to the MCU I didn't even go to the movies once a year. I would go see Marvel movies but by 2005 they started to get so bad I stopped going.

Dude... that makes me sad lol. Now I’m imagining if they actually did look like toys.. like action figures and the surrounding environments were plastic and crumbled... then these corny voices wouldn’t be a problem and it would actually look pretty awesome lol. Wow.

I guess it didn’t bother me because I had already seen it thousands of times in the Capcom Marvel fighting games. At least that chunk of ground matches the ground lol.
