As a black man, I’ve never really looked for self representation in games as I play games to escape. I used to seek out black characters in fighting games but if their fighting style wasn’t fun to me (especially when black characters could only be boxers back in the day) I would just play as someone who I enjoyed. I’m

I don’t really think the Sega CD really hurt Sega’s reputation all that much as it was seen as a luxury attachment that most folks didn’t have. In many ways I feel like it was the Genesis equivalent of the Kinect. But the problem was releasing the 32X and Saturn within a year of each other, not supporting the 32X and

I struggle with the buttons sometimes with retro games and fighting games are pretty much unplayable. I honestly never liked the Nintendo dpad for fighting games back in the day when compared to Sega but the buttons make the old Nintendo ones look like the best thing ever.

Man.. coming from someone who is obsessed with the 90s because I miss my childhood.. it wasn’t as good as you’re trying to make it out to be. First of all games were like $70 - $75 bucks and sure they were “complete” but more often than not a sequel would be released in 12 months if not less that didn’t do a whole lot

This is exactly where I am and honestly how I’ve been for most of my life. I prefer shorter immediately gratifying experiences so good and short enough that I am encouraged to experience it again in the future.

Lol that person’s friends are jerks because of a comment they made? Sounds like you’re the jerk.

That doesn’t mean anything. He supposedly hadn’t played the game until 6 years ago..

Preferences.. because if I play an FPS on PC I use a controller. It's like when fighting game snobs try to look down on folks for using a controller.. I invested hundreds into high quality arcade sticks and still ended up going back to a controller.

Lol

This is always such a weird sentiment to me... I feel like I’m on an island because to this day I still immensely enjoy the game.

Lol it doesn't sound anything like what Sega would do. Hell, Sega doesn't even publish sequels to their OWN franchises (Streets of Rage 4, Shenmue 3, Toe Jam and Earl Back in the Groove). If Atlus wasn't part of Sega their name would've been nowhere near it because it's out of the norm for them.

THIS

I don’t think Sega approached a random dev like "hey, you want to make a rip off of a game in a series that hasn't been heard from in over 25 years?"... the only reason Sega is even attached to this is because they own Atlus and Atlus publishes Ace Team’s games...

My 2nd controller was the blue swirl PAL controller that I thought I was cool for having because nobody else I knew had one lol. I also had the orange US Stunner and blue EU Stunner for the Saturn so I could match the arcade setup.

So many great ones missing!

Aw man.. I loved the ability to rent consoles back in the day. I didn’t get a PS1 until 99, but I rented one with the newly released Tekken 2 and Crash Bandicoot. I vividly remember playing Tekken 2 on my 13 inch TV in the living room that Friday night while my mom was watching the news on the main TV and they had

Yeah... Sega didn’t put those out... like I said lol....

Genesis Mini..

Sega has yet to put one of these out lol...

Aw man, you have to play Shinobi III. I love run and gun platformers like the original Shinobi (Elevator Action, Rolling Thunder, Surprise Attack, Code Name: Viper), but the series really transformed with its console sequels. Revenge of Shinobi and Shadow Dancer (the Genesis version, the arcade game is like the
