you know what would be cooler than the next playstation and xbox consoles being unveiled? a successor to the dreamcast..

dunno what kind of games you're into.. but yeah, halo is the only exclusive fps on the 360.. for me, the 360 continued to receive regular attention due to xbla.. i know some of these appear on pc as well, but as far as consoles go.. the experiences i had with the maw, splosion man, trials hd, shadow complex, zeno

lol not true.. but okay. how about you say "its not a useful feature FOR ME " because its one of the things i like most about it. dunno if you're male or female.. or how old you are.. but yeah, a lot of my friends and i agree that this is a great feature due to being able to play a game, and then when our gfs/wives

eh.. i mean mega man 9 and 10 were cool and all.. but i never was a huge fan of 8 bit mega man to be honest (i did love mega man zx and zx advent though).. okami just didnt get me excited.. i also never was a big resident evil fan, i dont like touch screen games.. i prefer my ghosts and goblins (or ghouls and ghosts)

i used to love capcom right up there with sega (who i don't care for as much these days either) for their arcade style... i realize that things have changed, but with xbla, psn, steam and different things like that.. they could easily continue to make those kinds of games...

i used to love capcom, now they're just okay.

yeah, like i said.. pretty much all video games retread, so basically we should quit playing them all. any first person shooter is running around in first person view shooting things, and ive been doing that since 1993 with doom.. i'll stop playing action games, because im always going to be saving the world from some

eh.. i mean, most of those consoles were basically the same exact thing.. even with straight up clones of their competitions hardware (like imagine microsoft having released the xbox 360 AND an "x-station 3" that played blu rays and ps3 games.. which nowadays would be illegal lol). instead, we have a console that has

lol whatever you say.. please tell me you never play any sequel ever..

this. id imagine 8 year old consoles costing 299.99 (which has never happened before) has quite a bit to do with it. i dont think you bring in a whole lot of new consumers at that price point..

did you even watch that video? this whole discussion began because you were basically saying that smg 2 didn't do anything different.. then you post a video mostly about new super mario bros (which i wasn't defending because although i enjoy the series, i don't love it like mario 64 or galaxy because it is too safe),

what japanese action platformers are you talking about.. it looks like an uncharted, prince of persia, castlevania lords of shadow, and enslaved style platformer.. which is a all western stuff..

i never called you a moron, and its okay to have different tastes... if you had simply said "i dont really care for mario games any longer" that would have been one thing, but you imply that they don't try anything new, when you admit you didn't even play past the first world.. also saying they didn't do anything new

and what indie games did you play last year?

"And I can see the slight underlining tone that he is tired of Mario games not trying anything new aside from going 3D" lol i stopped right there...

over the last couple of years, i've gone to downloadable games for the kind of experience it seems like you are looking for... mobile games are just too throwaway for my tastes...

I don't know where you're getting your dates from.. are we looking at 1988 for the japanese release for the megadrive (since it came out in august 1989 in the states) and 1995 for the american release of the saturn? since 1990 is when the super famicom came out (super nintendo was released in 1991), and nintendo 64

im just going to assume that you were referring to the kid the op was talking about and not me with the "kids these days" comment. the super famicom was sold from 1990 - 2003, so it's not as if it came out 2 years after the mega drive/genesis and ended it's run at the same time. an average of how many units were sold

actually.. the snes only sold a few more million than the genesis (if you were talking graphically, well.. it wasn't that much more superior.. i'd say like comparing the ps2 to the original xbox.. and we all know how much graphics dont affect sales).. i would imagine that kid's ideas come from being raised in the

yeah, i cant stand somebody sounding like a know-it-all but being completely wrong. i mean, its understandable to get a few facts here and there incorrect.. but the nes was a complete failure?! lol.... i worked with a guy that used to argue with me about all kinds of stuff.. and he was always completely wrong.. i
