whoa whoa now.. true sega fanboys will take pride in their consoles (save for the genesis) being under dogs with lots of classic obscure titles that the hardest core gamers enjoyed and not as much the masses.. like the playstations! (kind of joking lol).

yeah, i mean, i consider the master system to be an 80s thing for the most part since the megadrive came out in 88 and the genesis in 89.. considering the sms wasn't a huge success, sega moved on pretty quickly. if you lived in japan, i think the mega drive was outdone by the pc engine.. but in the states it was

i have some good ones. the first was was christmas 1989.. i had asked for an nes, but my parents ended up getting me an atari xe system. i wasn't upset though because i was just glad to have a video game console at the time.. i did end up getting that nes though for my birthday 2 months later. even with punch out, ice

no youre not.. lol i love how every one thinks you either have to like saints row or gta... how about some people get bored playing games like that. i used to think the reason i didn't like gta was because of the open world as well as the whole "gangster theme" that i found corny, but then i enjoyed crack down,

oh my gosh exactly this.

thats all really a matter of opinion... there were a slew of great games outside of sonic... all depends on what you fancy really, but both had great libraries.

ehhh.. most kids that grew up in the 90's weren't nintendo fans.. it was actually pretty even...

and thats the problem.. just because its not a genre that you like, doesn't mean doom and gloom. if indie games were all grind fest, lets save the world throwback rpgs, id be totally disinterested in them. as ive said before, my favorite genre is the beat em up.. after that its platformers and then fighting games. i

lol if you expect everything to do something new.. then you should have quit playing games a long time ago. while you're at it, quit enjoying music, tv shows, movies, or any other forms of entertainment.. because pretty much everything has been done before.

im not a jrpg guy so even though i own these games.. i dont know how good they are to the hardcore fans.. but you didnt like last story or xenoblade?

exactly.. i got my ipod touch 4 years ago just so that i could experience ios games.. i went off for about 6 months, but after that it wore off and i felt like the lack of controls were just too much for me to keep interested in those games. now, i pretty much only use it for music.

man, that game looks gorgeous... please port it to ps minis or the 3ds e shop one day!

i get what youre saying.. its a taste thing really.. i was 13 back then, and even then i felt the same way. maybe part of it was that i was 13.. sometimes i like a lot of colorfulness and craziness, and sometimes i like for something to be simple and not stand out. i liked it a lot because it differed from what most

Now playing

yeah i love it too.. this is one of my favorite old school commercials.. the ones in the 90s are the best because they have a certain flavor to them you only found from that era.. trying to be weird and edgy lol.

that is fantastic. i actually have one from the previous year that has sega saturn and playstation games listed at 69.99!!!! i'd be happy to scan it tomorrow (being that its almost 1 am where i am located) and put the pictures up here if anybody is interested in seeing it.

sega was a terrible mess as far as a business is concerned. tom kalinske started running sega of america and made some great choices (such as packing in sonic the hedgehog with the genesis when sega of japan thought that was a horrible idea initially) that eventually led to the genesis having a 65% market share by

yeah, pretty much what radrappy said.. by the time the ps2 came out, I had already had a year enjoying the crap out of power stone, soul calibur, sonic adventure, marvel vs capcom 1 and 2, virtua fighter 3, and nfl 2k..

i hate to sound like a sega fanboy (because i truly was in those days, but now i really dont care), but you really think that the saturn looks cheesy compared to the nintendo 64?! don't get me wrong, i loved the 64 (i actually catch flak because it is my personal favorite nintendo console so far), but it looked sooooo

what? im pretty sure you just proved other peoples points by pointing out that digital goods cost as much as the physical ones. when you make a product, you charge what you consider to be the value of that product. i guarantee you super nintendo and sega genesis games did not have to sell 2 million copies to break

yeah, this would bother me if castlevania lords of shadow 2 wasn't the only game on there im truly excited about. i have reservations for tomb raider, dmc, injustice: gods among us (which is coming to wii u), fuse, and remember me.. i'll most likely pick up bioshock infinite because i really like the world they've
