What a refreshing take on traveling in the Middle East. I’ve been to Bahrain and Dubai many times and have always had very positive experiences. Nice to see other people have them as well.

Iceland is cheap if you’re flying out of boston or baltimore. WOW air goes not only to iceland, but paris, copenhagen, london, etc... tickets one way are around 200$. Seriously.

Send it. The worst that can happen: they say no anyways and you never have to deal/ see them again (so, you end up in the same situation you are in now). The best that can happen: they say yes.

Um, this is not true at all. Most women in combat have a terrible time trying to access birth control. It is not mandatory and women are given quite a hard time when they want to receive women’s health services in a combat zone. Stock up on supplies before your deployed? You can’t when your military health insurance…
