In the case of PvE gear in a team-based game, you’re helping out your entire team by buying the better gear. How is that a bad thing? If you don’t want to pay for the better gear, you can continue to play the content as you did before, as if nothing changed. If you do have the money, you get to give your team a slight

Latest tier you can’t buy great BoEs at all. They took them off the BMAH, and you can only wear 3 crafted pieces at a time.

You’re completely missing the point. Most gamers are fine with cosmetic microtransactions. WoW has them. Free to play games have them. Buy to play games have them. Console games have them. Most gamers don’t care too much, because they’re COSMETIC.

Well, couple of things. You do have to pay for Payday 2, which would make it buy-to-play, like Guild Wars 2. If Guild Wars 2 had microtransaction items that had stats there’d be outcry, even if it only affected PvE.

Agree. Totally think the devs screwed up but this seems way too shitty a reaction

Yeah I never understood that. If WoW started selling Legendary items ONLY for raids, there would be a MASSIVE outcry. PvE or PvP doesn’t matter, it’s shitty in both.

And it really wasn’t though haha since this was a FG and not a punt

The Georgia Tech radio guys have been my favorites since I listened to them calling the Georgia-Georgia Tech game last year.

Ooooh if that’s true then I’ll definitely pick up the first and second one. I have shitty memory when it comes to video games so my plan was to just play the entire trilogy in one go so I don’t forget everything, but if the third one isn’t super essential and SC doesn’t end on a cliffhanger then that’s awesome

Good idea or bad idea to wait for Third Chapter’s release to buy and play them? I read that the localization of Third Chapter may depend on the success of SC, so maybe buy SC and not play it until Third Chapter hopefully gets released?

If you thought their criticism over Payday was because of having paid microtransactions then you need to reread the article

As someone who’s played piano and taken piano lessons since I was a kid and has put in a ton of time into Rock Band 4, your elitist opinion is dumb as fuck.

What was the problem with the game? Do have to say that it looks freaking gorgeous

Hey no worries. My point was more emphasizing the “just visual stuff,” not that Destiny would some day definitely get pay-to-win microtransactions.

Not sure what you’re saying. I’m just talking about the state of both games as they are right at this moment

I’m gonna be on your side more often than not. I hate microtransactions, and do agree that cosmetic stuff should be considered content. I’m against those types of cash shops...but I think there is very clearly a difference between the two.

And at that point Kotaku will write an article saying how much that sucks, but for now Destiny doesn’t have that

Their beef here ISN’T that there are microtransactions, it’s the PAY-TO-WIN cash shop. I think you misunderstood the reason for writing the article

(admittedly just for visual stuff for now)

haha no worries, this is still crazy as fuuuuu
