That depends. FFXIV says it needs about 400K subscribers to keep afloat. WoW is probably a lot cheaper to develop for, and at some point will stabilize at a specific number (I’m gonna say it’ll bottom out at 800k-1mil). If you google casual gamers it’s not really the way it’s used. Using the term casual and LoL in the same sentence is really just wrong, considering how it has a ton of champions and is solely multiplayer with leagues. CoD, maybe, but LoL? No way.
