Yep, Nier should definitely be on this list. Favorite video game soundtrack overall, not just JRPGs

Since Nier is not on this list this list is wrong.

Honestly if you were really turned off by the story in the original, I don’t think RoS’s campaign does enough to turn it around. Gameplay-wise it’s absolutely better though

Wait what? The Mandatory Minimums episode? Don’t remember him at all

Oh awesome didn't know it was already dual audio

Is iT feasible that it might get a mod that tips the Japanese voices and replaces them?

Considering the effort here consists of a simple download, I don’t see why not

Finished it a week or so ago....and holy shit was that amazing. The thing that struck me about Heavensward, from the minute they first announced it with a freaking CG teaser, is how confident the team is and how you can feel it. This is an expansion from a team on a roll right now.

My only problem with her is that her ingame model looks a lot worse than her model in the CG movie, while others like Raubahn and Merlwyb don’t look much worse

Not gonna lie, had something completely different in mind when I read the headline

The eShop download says it’s about 3 GB but it doesn't actually download that much, only when you make your route choice does it download that path, but still overall less than 4GB

Fuck that guy in the beginning.

How long would a complete playthrough of 999 take? I played it over a year ago and obsessed over it, finishing it in like a weekend. Did the whole “play it once blind, then try for the right ending with a flow chart” thing, but I have severe video game amnesia so I basically forgot everything. Wanna reacquaint myself

Do we know if Amazon Student trial members can also get in on this?

People keep citing “well it’s 3x the size of Awakening! Of course it’ll cost more!” Well, what game does that? Usually sequels market themselves as “it’s a lot bigger than the previous games” but don’t end up charging extra for it. Witcher 3 advertised its game world to be 35x larger than Witcher 2, had 36 endings

I don’t know if it IS big enough. Awakening could have been the end of the series, and it’s still a fairly niche JRPG. And we’ve only recently been getting simultaneous releases, it was only a few years ago that localization took a long time (and in some cases it still does)

Well, expansions are pretty normal. This isn’t really an expansion.

No, radegor does get it. The two main campaigns are so large that you can’t put both on the same cartridge without having to physically increase the size of the cartridge to accommodate the needed memory, thus why there are two different versions.

Just hit 57 (but still doing the ~54 main story quests) and having a blast. Music and zone design is amazing, really liking the story that really does make it feel like a single-player game, and flying is AWESOME.

The Heavensward music is amazing. From the moment the teaser ended when it was first announced, the main “theme” always pumped me up, and they use it so much in the expansion. The song linked in the article is the calm, slow, sad version, but the day theme is this bold, strong rendition, and the one in the cinematic
