Very New York.

Humanity is no more or less vain than we were 2000 years ago. Humanity has been constantly obsessed with our looks - let’s take a look at fine art. It’s just more instantaneous now, thus apparently more prolific.

I thought that was snowballing. Shows how much I know!

Good Lord. I studied abroad in England and my American friends did the same thing. I’m glad you tried to educate him at least though - small steps?

Formerly worked for student life at Columbia. Glad to see they’re still mostly tone deaf

Oh good, I look forward to the whole line of incendiary incense then.

Will they also be making Irish Carbomb bathbombs? A whole line of questionable products, perhaps?

Yes!!! Another art historian! We’re a rare breed, that’s for sure.

*dons art historian hat* I did a big paper on this phenomenon during my master’s program. It’s one of the reasons I love Turner - all his blood red suns and mirage-like horizons are pretty awesome to think about in context.

I just felt my masters in art history shrivel up.

Oh, I went to a Sigma Nu party in undergrad. Tooootally horrible. My friend and I referred to them as Sigma Who? thereafter.

I prefer to use lol as punctuation to my bleak sentences

Can’t wait to join the ranks of righteous indignation at this shitshow! Let me get my popcorn.

Late to the post, but I, too, just started playing Destiny for the first time a couple weeks ago. I have had no idea what I’m doing, and it’s been a lot of fun. I’m only *just* getting the hang of Crucible matches, which usually end up with me getting my ass handed to me, while I yelp in terror. But it’s been fun.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the show. Sure, way over the top, but some really clever writing and the way it pitted the characters against each other didn’t seem overly tired or cliche - which was great! More shows about women being real people, good at their jobs, and interesting as fuck, please.

Yep. No one at my office had been pregnant before this year - that isn’t to say that the folks who worked here didn’t have kids, but they were all male. One of the (seven) women in the office got pregnant, and they had to scramble to make a change in the policies so she could take maternity time off. It’s paltry and

Oh, same! I was wondering about this because I love reading about everyone’s routine... And I want to share mine too! Pick me, pick me!
