That was delightful. And proof that "All I Want for Christmas is You" is the best GODDAMN CHRISTMAS SONG OF ALL TIME.

As a middle school counselor who works with lots of disorganized kids, I'm waiting for someone to come up with some kind of digital system to replace binders and notebooks. No more lost homework and papers!
Is it the textbook though? I'd say i miss the new things to learn everyday and maybe the, relatively speaking, black and white of an assignment because being an actual grown up is so much more complicated but the actual textbook?
Most of my students have giant backpacks stuffed to the brim still even though we use almost all digital books. I have no idea what they put in there (probably drugs) and don't plan on finding out.
I maintain that HAIM was robbed
Ugh. I would date him. Ughhh.
A Pointsetta - sparkling white wine, Triple Sec or Cointreau & cranberry juice.
People assume that I'm Christian too! I'm atheist to the core, but I celebrate Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter out of a sense of tradition and family, and I know the bible pretty well because I'm always working my way through some part of it, so people assume that equals up to a very religious person.
Not a cocktail, but the best vodka infusion I've ever made is pumpkin spice. I used about an inch width of pumpkin (top to bottom) plus one vanilla bean, one stick of cinnamon, five cloves, a chunk (1 inch x 1/2 inch or so) of ginger, and half a whole nutmeg. Let it sit for 2 weeks.
I myself am I Christian and I want to make a joke, but it'll feel so very, very wrong.
last year for new years i made a champagne, orange juice, pomegranate juice and cointreau cocktail. it was nice and light.
French 75's! Classic, festive, and have a good punch! http://cocktails.about.com/od/atozcocktai…
Ginger is an amazing base flavor for the holidays (and if you are me, for every other day of the year too). Dark 'n' stormys are one of my favorites but if you want to get a little more exotic than rum and ginger beer I found some recipes using ginger vodka, which is also very tasty.
My sister-in-law's Puerto Rican in-laws make something called Coquito which everyone but me loves. It's coconut and rum and some other stuff. (I hate coconut with a passion). I'm sure you can google it for a recipe.
I was flipping through this strange mag (gardens AND guns? who is your market?) at the inlaws and they had an amazing array of old-timey/classy/southernish cocktails and punches I'd never heard of, many for the holidays.
Holiday cocktail ideas? Every year I make a cocktail for Christmas Eve on my mom's side. Needs to serve 40 plus people so it needs to be able to be put into pitchers. In the past I've made a peppermint schnapps drink, a midori drink I called the grinch, sangria, and moscow mules. I need to pick up my game this year…
But there's a comma splice! It renders it completely and utterly incomprehensible to me. I am a special snowflake. Etc.
