oh shit - you're the same broseph who made a "joke" about masturbating to Emma Watson's nudes in that recent Newswire. That makes your swift decline from Republican talking points to Red Pill misogyny much more understandable

Huh? "Globalism" (as opposed to, say, "globalization") is an Infowars/Breitbart buzzword - feel free to google it. Leftists are not using that word.

Schwarzenegger's an inveterate sexual harasser and all-around garbage human. It's entirely fair to lump him in with Trump.

Gunn got his start at Troma so it's not surprising that his passion projects are nasty horror films (and whatever the fuck Super was). I've seen multiple reviews panning this for being unpleasant and vicious, which means I am definitely seeing it this weekend.

The original movie that this is a remake of (In Order of Disappearance) leaned hard into the ridiculousness - it's as much a comedy as it is a revenge thriller. It's essentially a parody of Liam Neeson revenge movies, so it's really ironic that it's being remade as a Liam Neeson revenge movie.

I agree that this is important information and that it should have been given airtime. The problem is not that it's boring; the problem is that Maddow spun this as being damaging to Trump, when in actuality it's just a standard rich person's tax return. This gave Trump a golden opportunity to dunk on the media that he

EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE AND I'M SCARED HOLD ME

Sad upvote. The Dissolve was my favorite site ever (not hyperbole) and its failure underlines the fact that thoughtful pop-culture writing just can't make money on the internet.

Agreed - it's a wonderful place, and people there are really chill about Chappelle. I've seen him walking on the street there with nobody disturbing him, which sadly is not usually the case in the Dayton area.

I grew up in Yellow Springs! It's a great place, like a piece of the idealistic hippy 70s that got stuck in time and never changed - super liberal and small-town America in all the best ways. That tasing incident was shocking because that's usually not how Yellow Springs rolls at all.

This is great, thanks! The new Atlanta sound seems like a huge break from prior rap trends, which is why I find it fascinating, but I guess that's also why it's controversial on a site that champions stuff like Run the Jewels.

Jesus, tough crowd here; HNDRXX is a solid record (I'm not feeling Future as much, though), and I'm confounded that commenters on a pop culture website are so thoroughly dismissive of it. It's like I wandered into Breitbart record reviews or something

Is this bewildering article indicative of his usual writing? If so, me too!

Haha yeah because the only options are either (1) you love God's Not Dead or (2) you love The Oscars. Speaking as someone from Ohio (which I guess is "middle America," whatever the fuck that's supposed to be?) how about option (3): the Oscars suck and are utterly meaningless

Congrats on your new house and groceries, Casey

Although comparisons to Saulnier are inevitable - and Macon Blair certainly shares with him an interest in inept people getting into violent situations that they're completely unprepared for - the comparison to the Coens is more apt. I enjoyed this movie a lot and am definitely looking forward to whatever Blair does

Goddamn, the Taisho trilogy is so good. Zigeunerweisen blew my mind the first time I saw it - Suzuki sets out to systematically break every rule of filmmaking and it's glorious. It's odd to me that Criterion hasn't put that out yet; it's currently oop on DVD.

Yeah, I'm sure that Kalanick - the techbroseph who said that Uber should be called "Boober" because of how much he gets laid - is really serious about fixing sexual harassment issues. Fuck that guy.

I can get behind this. Nickelback is the epitome of bland radio rock, which makes them vaguely irritating but not even close to the worst ever. Anyone who claims otherwise should be forced to listen to Brokencyde for 8 hours nonstop.

The Loved Ones is an excellent movie but sadly this isn't very good. There's a reason it took a long time for it to find distribution. (Fun fact: despite a soundtrack that is purportedly by Sunn O))), there's a lot of crappy metalcore happening in this film. If you like metal, prepare to be irritated.)
