Yes. This is easily one of the best soundtracks I've heard in ages. Great stuff.

It's great to see Orser - who I think is criminally underrated - in a lead role. He's been fantastic in so many movies (two of my favorites are the guy who freaks out in Seven and the guy who freaks out in Alien Resurrection).
I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying that Fargo the TV show has "deliberate pacing?" Because I definitely don't think that's true - the show moves like a bullet. And it doesn't add just "marginal texture" - so much more happens in 1 season of the show than could happen in a movie. I also would strongly disagree that…

I LOVE DEEP RISING SO MUCH. I saw it in the theater with a group of friends when it came out, and we all agreed that a) it would be renowned as a classic and b) Treat Williams would become a new genre star. Sadly, neither of those things came to pass, although they should have.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. Yes, there are lapses in logic (in particular, the evil aliens/creatures' plan makes no goddamn sense, and how has an abandoned and unlocked military facility just been sitting around in the desert for our hapless heroes to stumble upon, and why is it still in pristine…
