I agree entirely. It’s maddening and I am angry about it. That’s why I place the real blame on the prosecutors for fundamentally failing to prepare the witnesses and actually make sure they didn’t fall into the trap that they did.

Honestly, as much as I hate the outcome of the trial, I’m reticent to say “fuck this judge” because I don’t see how he could have come to any other conclusion.

Who DOES need to be fucked? The Crown Prosecutor for completely fucking up at doing their job. They handed this case over with barely a fight.

I’m side-eyeing people who call themselves ‘spiritual’ - they often act like born-again Christians, who constantly feel the need to spread the faith and see the rest of the world as losers for not believing the same thing in the exact same way they do, and are mostly self-serving, like you say.

You said she’s only 18, right? So presumably a lot of her values and beliefs are still intertwined pretty closely with how she was raised/the people she was (or is still) surrounded by, and probably a religious background given the anti-choice thing.
