I had some scarring from some cat bites/slashes. Pretty deep, long time healing. And painful. I just kept rubbing neosporin over then when they hurt. But for a surgical scar I would check with the doctor.

My doctor prescribed gabapentin in ointment form for my nerve pain. Apply and rub in for five minutes. The concentration can be adjusted according to your needs. I discovered it also does wonders for my arthritic thumb joint. Perhaps it might help your scar pain.

This is a great idea! My husband flies almost every week and has a decent amount of miles, so right after the hurricane in Puerto Rico, we used his miles to get tickets for our friend’s in-laws, who still do not have power. 

The penalty for this isn’t being made an orphan.  Try some empathy sometime, sheesh.

Given the generally poor $/mile rate, wouldn’t it be more efficient to simply donate money to the organization to buy plane tickets? I’ve used miles in the past for flights, and if I hadn’t earned those miles for work travel it would’ve been far cheaper just to buy the tickets outright.
