I got into it HEAVY with my similar dad about this.

I managed to go to South Africa for the first time back in May. There was a park I drove through, and I wound up driving through a herd of elephants. Amazing.

This does not make up for the period blood/vomit thing, Mark.

How is this even worthy of a write-up? What is wrong with you?

Yep. Tracee Ellis Ross is a fine actress, but her hair is seriously world class.

Seriously. That curly hair precisely why she gets cast as the wife or featured actress on black shows. It might not fly with white ppl but it gives her a LOT of privilege if ppl are casting for a black actress. They love to give men lighter wives with curly hair.

Eggs are perishable. Flaxseed, silken tofu, chia are all shelf stable. They are great pantry essentials.

I don't think she knows how to do anything else. I'd feel sorry for her, but she could buy out my mortgage with her lunch money, and knowing that squelches most of my empathy. If I had her money, I'd like to think I'd get educated and do something useful with my life.

I'm white with fine hair (I don't know the numerical rating) and have had both short hair and long hair styles that would not work in a corporate environment. It's a misogynist environment as well as racist.

But I think part of the reason her hair is "acceptable" is because she makes wearing her natural hair non-negotiable. There is no producer or on-set hairstylist who wouldn't rather have her wear a weave or a wig given how unpredictable and "unruly" Black natural hair can be on any given day, especially since you

and she has some pretty sweet connections too. It's not like she's trying to claw her way up from the bottom.

"In my experience though, they're quite often not treating these other women any better. The guy who said that crap to me went on to badly abuse his Latina girlfriend."

You nailed it. The black men that have pursued me only did so because although I'm not light, they think I might be mixed with something else. I think they hate being black & take it out on us (not all, the ones who are like this). Another thing I've never seen addressed: white people sure as fuck are not all kumbayah

I feel the same way you do, but their ignorance is sad. I don't care how dark a man or a woman is- attractive is attractive. But, what really gets me about these dudes- extremely light skin erases everything else. If you look like Beyonce (or lighter), you can be illiterate, selfish, gold-digging, etc. It doesn't

me too! That was the first thing I thought: "Of course she put her name at the top". I feel like she said, upon presentation, "I got robes made for you because I'm the best".

I don't recall blaming anyone really... and if you considering that trolling, you are a simpleton indeed. Nor did I ever say I didnt agree to the loan. And having kids is selfish? Hmm... you were born right? Go tell you mom and pop how selfish that was. I can tell by your tone you are a single, basement dwelling,

"for he is his name noah a covenant of the arc which is my family."

Agreed! She reminds me of lots of people I grew up with who partied all the time, and now have steady jobs, kids, etc. Every so often I see a picture of them w/ their families on Facebook, looking so suburban, and I think "Wait, didn't you used to have a Nalgene of vodka in class?"

It's very rom-com isn't it? A super cute, quirky girl who's running around town running errands for her hate-filled boss has some random papers stuck to the back of her dress and when the cute male love interest points it out to her... "Oh! (giggle giggle) Is there something on my back?" :)

Reading comprehension is an attainable goal.
