Another reason for me to avoid Dallas... oh wait... that reason was already on the list.
Yeah... California (at least southern) is on my “ah hell no” list.

okay... check out the crash ratings on a Mitsubishi Mirage then. That is a death trap.

Also, no econobox would be able to tow my trailer when it’s loaded... and it’s only about 2200 pounds when loaded. Yet mine will tow that at highway speeds and still carry 4 people in comfort.

umm... the Crown Victoria was designed with a rear crumple zone as well... but to withstand HIGHER speeds... or did you not read that part. I guess reading isn’t your strong point.

People are jealous they don’t have a plane... so they take the majority beat up on the minority approach to community living to make everyone conform to the lowest common denominator (in this case, those without planes). It’s classist hate. We can’t be as high class as this guy with a plane, so we’ll band together to

People aren’t buying new cars because they’re too expensive. Yes, they are safer on the whole, but automakers refuse to make low margin basic transportation any more unless it’s a base model fleet pickup.

Yet police forces across the USA used Crown Victoria’s for over 2 decades. It wasn’t the safest car, but it was generally one of the toughest. And it was also the ONLY vehicle tested for rear collisions at highway speeds. I would trust my car to protect my family on the highway better than ANY econobox with even a 5

Too old. Argument invalid. My cars are 30 years newer than that rusted out husk of a Chevy.

yeah... camry hit the rear of my car. Crumple zones are typically up front. Also, Crown vics are very good at full frontal crash ratings. It’s the side impacts and small overlap that get you. One more thing... Camry crushed AND launched me forward about 3 feet... and I was fine because I sit upright and was able to

I once took a 4 pound metal working hammer wedge end to the ice on my roof and it WOULD NOT BREAK. Yeah... I didn’t worry about that coming off. 3 days later it finally broke free... thankfully there wasn’t anyone directly behind me and it hit the road.

Find me a car that is less than 10 years old, can seat six, tow 5000# with a weight distributing hitch, and still get 24 mpg on the highway without towing. You’re not going to find one for under $2000. Also, my “highly polluting death trap” has a driver side air bag and is 23 years old. The 28 year old one doesn’t

Not quite that old... I have a 3-point seat belt and padded dash. Just no airbags.

Which is why I drive an older BIG car.

Now playing

Even Jeff Foxworthy can’t understand them...

Not dry here either (but I grew up near the coast, so I know what 120F and 90% are like... 2 steps and already brow sweat). But I do it in jeans and a polo with no problems. I did have fun driving in the “icemageddon” here in 2013 (Dashcam video below the pic). Cities are so unprepared for ice down here. At least you

Also, no camping when passing trucks. Get around and on down the road.

Come join me in August for some relaxing outside with a cold beverage when it’s 100F out. We’ll see who the wuss is. ;)

I think the only starter worse than this is the GM Northstar engine’s starter. It’s things like this that keep me away from certain vehicles (and why I want a truck).

Need to call Torch and DeMuro... we might get a bidding war.

I would definitely stay home if it looked like that outside. Of course, I’ve never seen that living in Texas and not the panhandle.

...trucker version.
