One of my fog lights went out on my BRZ the other day. I gave the bumper a solid smack right beside the fog light housing, and it came back on. Hasn’t so much as flickered since.
Oh my gosh; it’s been 8 years since I had my 944, and I totally forgot about this.
Only the first-gen with the 4.6L had this problem, I believe...
I drive a 2013 BRZ. Two and a half years and 92,000km later, and I’m still in love. Says a lot, considering this is my 20th car at the young age of 31, and my previous car was a 400+hp BMW 335i. People who don’t actually drive this car every day simply don’t seem to understand it.
1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera; pre face-lift. This was the first car my Dad bought brand new, less than 6 months after I was born, as their new “family car”. His other car at the time was a ‘78 Cutlass 4-door (the full-size RWD one). We replaced that with a Lumina APV in ‘90.
My first car! Well, to be honest, it was a Canadian-only Pontiac Tempest...which was just a rebadged Corsica. 3.1L “big block”, rollered flat black, whore-house red interior, and more rust than you could shake a stick it.
It was the only flying example until earlier this summer when “Doc” in Kansas finally took wing again.
Back in the day, before the drifting bubble burst in North America (yeah I’m going to go all hipster on y’all) we had a crew called Suislide. It’s probably been used a million times, and we may not have even been the first to do it, but damn it was clever at the time. We had stickers and t-shirts and everything.
Ontario plates! Where in our great province did this happen?
He waves to the crowd like he’s actually proud of himself.
My mistake was not buying a ‘95 Jetta GLX VR6. For $3000 certified, and 240k km on the clock, it was a reasonable deal (this was back in 2006) and I needed a car yesterday at the time. No; the mistake was paying almost $6000 total over the next 3 years just to keep the damn thing on the road, only for the timing chain…

I only remember using valet once in my life, in Niagara Falls, Canada. Normally I steer clear of valet, but I had booked a hotel with my girlfriend at the time (now ex) for our anniversary, and we were staying for the weekend with no reason to use the car until we left, so I figured why not.
