I get that, but she has also admitted to past issues with anorexia and bulimia, so maybe she should avoid the 'skinny' marketing.

It was a "matrimonial judge" and they were in court to "hash out financial information". Besides, telling someone not to do one thing doesn't get rid of an eating disorder. The judge's comment doesn't make the child any better off. It just seems like a a judge-y (in the non-legal sense) and inappropriate comment.

It really is the best way to handle it. To erase it and present a sanitized version of the past would be false.

If it's a family court judge, it is their business. Having a child being raised in a home with someone with an eating disorder is not necessarily in the child's best interest.
