Only now it would be a tiny macbook plugged into a keyboard.

Wtf exactly. I had the same reaction watching The Big Lebowski recently.

Oooh —good call. I went out and bought the CD (remember those?) immediately after seeing the movie.

He was also a close personal friend of Colin Hanks.

I like how Caldwell has changed their locker room and brought an even keel to the team. And it's great how he's connected with a majority of the players —they truly want to play for him. But Rodger's hail mary was a prime example of poor defensive preparation.

And to think you composed this excellent bit of humour on 65 minutes of sleep! Your dedication should be applauded.

THIS! Every book of his I'm slack-jawed because of what an excellent writer he is. And for me, at least, he dropped on the scene completely out of nowhere.

Shit —I missed her! Meyers is comic geek, I assume. In the past year he's had Matt Fraction, Brian Michael Bendis and Robert Kirkman on too.

Sorry, Oliver, but I caught a small editing error. You wrote:

So glad you panned Paper Girls. I feel like I *should* like it, with BKV and Chiang at the helm, and the quality level's there. But after 4 issues we really should know who the characters are, and I couldn't give you more than one name if you paid me.

Wrt: Marvel titles, me too. I'm around 90% Image books these days, and I don't see the trend reversing. And I sincerely love superhero books, but both the big two are currently uninspiring (not to mention expensive).

I'm curious when Ashley Judd's career took a turn. She used to be a committed, intense actress in the early 90's. She's great in "Ruby in Paradise".

I think I reread issue #4 three times trying to piece everything together. Classic Morrison Mindfuck (tm).

One of the things that keeps me on a floppy is whether it has decent back pages. Some books (Saga, Lazarus, the Brubaker titles) have such good stuff it rivals the content of the actual comic.

You took the words right out of my keyboard.

Hey AVC: sit Greg Rucka down for an interview!

Injection! A couple of weeks ago I was giving that book props —so good.

You're not kidding, right? New Order are easily among the top 5 most influential British bands of the last 40 years.

Don't forget Elizabeth Breitweiser when talking about Brubaker's recent books. I really feel she's what elevates the recent books (along with Kirkman's 'Outcast', another excellent title)

I'd say my two of favourite books by Ellis came out last year: Supreme Blue Rose and Injection. Neither is particularly cynical, both are great.
