First a bunch of managers and now 14% of their corporate staff? If “ABANDON SHIP” isn’t ringing in the head of every Gamestop employee at this point, I don’t even know what to tell them. It’s time to update that resume and find another job QUICKLY.

Biggest hit for me is Game Informer, they do great work and I don’t want to see them go!
“Business Transformation” is a hot seller right now in big corporate. GameStop is one of dozens of big brands using that exact jargon to try and diffuse from the layoffs. Wallgreens just put out PR last week with similar wording.
Don’t disagree with anything you just said, but how do we go about “policing our own” when the label of “gamer” is so broad as to include millions of people who we likely have little in common with, other than a basic ‘interest’ in entertainment that is interactive?
Nothing excuses the threats and harassment the Ooblets developers have received. Nothing excuses the Ooblets developers’ needless provocation, either, and yet you continue to excuse it, and for what purpose?
I mean it’s not just where you buy your games. There’s legitimate criticisms and bad business practices behind it. Like further funding Epic who crunches their devs into dust. Like handing Tencent a horrible company more money. Companies having too much power, wealth, etc.. I don’t like Steam either though. They’re…
My stance as someone who’s already given Epic two chances with games in the last three months and come away with only disillusionment, regret and frustration with this company; don’t be rude to people. Don’t threaten people. You fully have the right to voice your opinion and not buy a product, use that instead.
Yet they chose to load their explanation blog with snark. All they needed to be was candid, which they were at parts. Harassment is always wrong, but in a way, they harassed those who were upset by the move by belittling them.
No mention of this?
Epic of course being disingenuous and ignoring the real reasons behind the Ooblets’ devs’ “harassment”
You’re really brushing off the level of snark in their announcement, and failing to mention how they addressed concerns about availability of their game in different countries with currencies not accepted by Epic’s storefront with a “you’re not entitled to our game” bitchy and not at all joking response (which sort of…
I think getting free joy-con repairs is probably going to be of greater benefit to most consumers than waiting out for any class-action suit payout.
That’s another well known issue. Not high profile enough for them to fix free probably, but you can order replacement latches on Amazon for like $10. I think they’re made of metal too. Not for everyone, but it’s an option.
it’s almost certainly the springs within the components wearing abnormally fast and are no longer returning to center within the deadzone of the component.
Stop trying to spin a defective, premium product into something positive...
I noticed it after four or five months of owning my Switch. I bought some replacement sticks on Amazon for like $8 and took apart my controller (following a YouTube video...there are so many addressing this problem). It fixed it for a while, but it seems to be happening again.
(Headnote: regardless of comment, I still say Trump is an asshat.)
Isn’t that the reason for the huge political divide? People indulging in echo chambers?
This whole tariff thing is a tough one. Alot of hair splitting in the opinion on it.
First they came for a bunch of innocent groups of people, and I was like “whatever.” Then they came for my videogames, and I was like
