Misread the post

This is 200% off topic. I read this in my local paper. Why, oh why, was my first thought..... “Was it Dave Tracy?”

So using Susan B Anthony dollar coins would work for us in the US.

Over the past few years I’ve eaten a good amount of duck, goose and ostrich eggs. They’re all a treat. But hard-boiling a ostich egg is a pain. It works, but it’s tedious. Makes a damn impressive deviled egg. Next to try is making one as a red beet egg. That should be fun.

Instead of buying the kids, and myself, sweetened cereal, we’d serve up the plain stuff and add a small scoop of peanut butter on the side of bowl. Take a little nibble of PB with every spoonful.

The much safer method is to put the meat in a ziplock bag. Immerse it in very hot water, not boiling, @140 degrees. Let it sit in the water for 10 minutes. Then back in the fridge if your not quite ready to cook it. TIME/TEMP are two very important components of food safety when thawing meat.

I shed a tear for those dining room chairs the head was resting on.

Still have my original from the early 70's.
