I definitely have to agree with you here. Matt Lauer was a household name for years. The guy was all over NBC. So to compare the two women who haven’t had as much on-camera time or national/international network coverage as Matt isn’t quite fair. How about comparing Oprah or Ellen to him?

Matt Lauer’s salary was obviously grossly over-inflated. Some degree of correction seems reasonable, but the optics are pretty bad considering the context.
