I find it interesting that Mecum and Barret Jackson never seem to run out of (the same?) classic muscle cars for multiple huge events per year.

What made it so god awful is that he, up until that show, was revered as a builder of high quality cars.

Probably gonna take some heat here, but any televised auto auction should qualify as the worst. Why?

Yeah, the whole “drama” thing and the BS with “stealing” the car was stupid.  But watching Foose work was interesting.

I used to watch Overhaulin’ and even with the artificial deadlines they were always under (draaaaama) I liked seeing what Foose would create. Sometimes I thought he went a little over the top, but nothing too crazy like Pimp My Ride. Now I find the best shows are on YouTube - guys like Tavarish that tackle exotic car

American Hot Rods with Boyd Coddington. What made it so god awful is that he, up until that show, was revered as a builder of high quality cars. Then on the show almost every time he touched a car instead of his crew he screwed something up. So because of the fake tight timeline drama they would then do hack fixes for

If a barbed-wire tattoo on a flabby white bicep were a TV show...

Aside from what’s been mentioned, I’d nominate Netflix’s Fastest Car series. Sleepers VS Supercars. There’s only one problem. The sleepers.....aren’t sleepers. They are full on dragstrip sluts, and it’s not hiding it. Those are cars you cannot drive on the street! So who gives a shit? Apart from that, EVERY contestant

Any sports pre-game show is garbage.

Pimp my ride was really an awful show, but I still watched it back in the day, so probably can’t say its the worst.

Diesel Brothers!

Texas Metal, or whatever it’s called.

I watched an ep or two of graveyard carz (yes, with a Z because so edgy and cool). The main guy just kept coming up with (i.e. likely completely scripted in) useless knowledge of mopars as a “gotcha” whenever his ego felt particularly fragile. “yeah well, you didn’t know that in 1972 the coronet RT only had 765

Uggggggggghhhhhhhhh Netflix. Carmasters: Rust to Riches is the worst. The faux drama. The “personalities.” The deadlines. The budgets. All of that is pretty stock modern car show bullshit but then you actually see the work they’re doing and it’s... it’s just bad. Like you can tell that the people who’ve been drafted

Any of the “Outlaw/Street Drag Racing” shows. Stop glorifying stupid and illegal acts while injecting soap opera drama.

Pinks.

Fast N’ Loud, which used to be on Discovery. Starring the always irritating Richard Rawlings (“Whoo!!!” as he kicks his leg in the air) along with his gang of minions who made it a habit of splitting from the show and (yeesh) starting their own shows:

Counting cars is pretty irritating for sure.

Personally I like the NA version of Top Gear, its not as good as the original of course, but its still a good show.

The one I can’t watch are “street” drag

Since its premiere in 2012, this series has centered way too much on the drama of its cast, instead of the vehicles they’re meant to be restoring. It gets real old, real fast.

Graveyard Cars was garbage, don’t know if it’s still on or not. Otherwise any NASCAR Pre-race show
