That would be the “other things” I was not so clear about. Anything with the word rape or the images that go with sex crime are a bit much and WAY off topic for what should be a car blog. As well as when I am on the University’s network I avoid Jalopnik because of that. Not sure if the University really cares that

There is a nutty old man down the street that has 3 of these in various states of running and still not road worthy. Like that stops anyone. As well as near the campus there is another house with a van, a truck and another convertible covair.

I kinda hate the lists but I get your grumble. I too hate seeing all the other things that kinja has decided to include at the side and sometimes in the middle of scrolling through Jalopnik.

MOOSE! I need a Berner now that I can name Moose!

I only found out about Craig today but he is fast becoming one of my favorite people.

Sounds about right!

Tradition and because it is American are probably the real reason HD even gets included and used by many PD.

It is not worth dicking around to get a flight from Abq to Denver or the other way around. I got stuck there last Feb. Was told my flight was canceled and no flights would be availible. Never mind that the weather cleared up and flights continued shortly after. Major pain in the ass and it took 24hrs to get a plane.

Because the more we love our cars the more they do things to make us second guess that love. (I own two supers with stock FI and a standard)

Looks awesome. Love your project. My first thought was is if I could emulate this build just a little. Its from Shoptalk so I bet you have seen it already. Your car wouldn’t be one of the efi/megsquirt projects on Shoptalk would it? I feel like I have seen it before.

There were several cars in that yard that could have been driven out if anyone dared to try. The higher end cars were often complete. No one cares about VW or Porsche here. Nothing had been picked bare. This yard was a gold mine.

It is WELL PAST time to do this. Locally we once had an amazing yard full of old aircooled beetles, busses, 914s and 911s. They had even started to collect 924/944/968 and 928 in the yard.

I could be wrong, but wasn’t that part of why BMW changed their model numbering before? I thought that 1 would be FWD and “entry level” with everything else RWD/AWD and based on the number of doors.

Am I wrong in seeing the start of a Halloween costume or something from a b-grade movie? It stands out to me in a strange way

Stepf, can we get as much coverage of any non Nascar race as we got for a single Nascar race today? I get that others enjoy it but to me it is the lowest form of modern racing. It has more in common with reality tv and “house wives of...” than it does with actual racing.

You don’t think that GM is already having that issue in the US? There are great platforms and vehicles wearing the Buick badge that will be ignored simply for the fact that is a Buick instead of a Chevy or Cadillac. I had never seen Buick’s lineup before this week and I doubt I am alone in ignoring Buick. It seems

That is a reason to slap a Buick badge and a face on a GM in China but not to keep Buick alive else where. Not sure how Buick got to be a status symbol in China but it is accepted to be the case.

That is shocking! I would have never expected that.

I guess. I am surprised how cheap Buicks start. I had never looked before and expected $40K on the bottom end not $21K (Verano). Seems like it might be more about buying a Luxury name like you were suggesting.

What does Buick really bring to the car market that keeps it alive? In the States I really do not understand how Buick still exists
