That would be true if tire contact patches were driven by a 100% pneumatic equation.  They aren’t, and your contact patch is surprisingly not very affected by tire pressures until you get to extreme ends of the spectrum.

No. It’s more like the tags on the back of many cars in Europe that indicate the home county of the automobile.  But whatever.  

I wonder how many of the armchair “investors” here have made almost 200% ROI on dividends alone in under 10 years, while enjoying a 500% capital gain on the same stock. 

The alternative is to sell at my current position, take a huge bath on capital gains, and hope for the best somewhere else from the hole I’d be in.  Something tells me Ford isn’t filing bankruptcy any time soon.

Graduated high school in 93, that’s when I was gifted the KO and HD.  Most of my stuff is in managed accounts I don’t even touch, but the F is in a tax burdened account where capital gains would kill me if I cash out.  

I understand your take, but promise I’m neither exaggerating nor at a particular advantage. Started in 93 with a a $2000 gift split between KO and HD, maxed out my 401k and IRA accounts every year, put another 10% of my income annually into the market, and did benefit from some very foolish penny stock day trades…
