It's not dying I would say. WoW is a good example that it certainly isn't dead. But it is looking less popular. It's like how something kind of big looks really huge when put next to small things. Now over the years console gaming has caught up in terms of hardware and graphics. In other words, your Xbox 9001 doesn't

I've never had an absolute favorite Mario Kart. I loved 64 for its retro charm and the intense battles you could have. I loved Double-Dash because the Co-Op Single Player was actually REALLY fun and got super intense on the mirror-special cup. I loved Mario Kart DS for the fantastic new maps and the side-missions

I never knew you could draft in 64... I'll have to try that.

Cue "IT BURNS MONEY" picture with an unhappy Iwata and Miyamoto.

Granted, all the dropped AAA 3rd party titles is a huge issue. I'm sure they'll be fine, though.

I was still looking forward to OoC3D (still pleased with that) and several other first party games but I WAS MOST EXCITED FOR THIS WAAAAAAHHHHHH

Guerrilla wasn't that solid either, you know. One example is how Sam's hair in cinematics was blonde, and then suddenly brunette in-game.

Granted, world-destruction in a game is VERY taxing for a machine. Especially if you want it to look good.

Take Fallout 3 for example. I loved that game, but I HATED spending all my time walking around in boring, brown wastelands.

And to be perfectly honest myself, I'm getting kind of sick of open-world games. I don't care if it's more "do what you want", it just ends up being a lot of revisiting locations while doing new missions and what-not. If a studio can make an open-world game that still holds onto a linear story in terms of events and

Did anyone here at all play the games BEFORE Guerilla? Seriously, everyone here is acting like the entire series was open-world Grand Theft Auto: Mars Mayhem.

You seem to forget that the first two games were both very similar to this. Heck, Red Faction 1 felt like Half-Life: Mars Edition.

Except that Armageddon is more like the first two than Geurilla ever was...

...You mean like the first two games? Linear isn't that bad, at least the maps are more detailed than most open-world games where you can't enter buildings but when you can they're really scarce and really boring.

I played the demo, and it was really fun. I still want to buy the game.

While I admit I am biased against Sony; I would buy the Vita just for that reason.

NO LEGENDS 3?!?!?!

MEGAMAN LEGENDS 3 BIT THE DUST?!

I'm not saying he has to say other people MIGHT have the same problem, but it certainly helps when there's hard evidence that a large group of people (not 20 commenters) share the same opinion and that is reported!
