When I was 7, some of the umps would get coaches and parents together and basically say “Look, these kids are 7 and we’re here to have fun. No one has fun drawing a walk, so the strike zone is going to be generous. If your kid could theoretically get his bat on it, it’s a strike.”

Yup, don’t borrow an absurd amount of money for a car, it’s still a depreciating asset that you’re paying for. But life is too short to drive hoopties because you’re too scared of debt to get something better. To the earlier example, if a $400/mo payment means you can’t save/invest then it’s too much, but if you can

At which point you’ve put nearly $5k into a vehicle worth $2k and have no guarantees it won’t cost as much (or more!) next year, which is obviously way smarter than borrowing money at sub-inflation rates.

Nothing wrong with having cheap cars, but the theoretical person this article about isn’t interested in $2k cars. If they were, they’d keep the cheap hand me down they’ve been driving since high school.

And the alternative is what? Spend a lot of cash up front to get a car with no payment.

It’s mostly that they’re at the point where $400/mo isn’t a problem for them, hence feeling like a successful adult.

Having that many people in that close proximity is for poor people. If you’re their target demographic and you need to carry 5 people you simply buy another one of these and hire another driver to cart your extra friends/offspring around.

From what I’ve read, the existing GT350 engine really doesn’t take to boost well at all, and they are not cheap to fix when you blow it up. Which is fine really, I think there’s room for a high-revving NA motor and a complete hulk of a boosted motor in the lineup.

You are participating in the 2 party system that consistently produces shittier candidates each run around.

How does this have anything to do with what we’re talking about?

As long as it only comes in brown and doesn’t have a warranty I’m in.

Rest assured, if they did make one it’ll end up being auto-only and not sold in the US. BMW is really just changing what type of internet bitching and moaning they have to deal with.

BuzzFeed News is on fire and failing, their other business is doing fine from what I gather.

Yup, I’ve played chicken with a few bicyclists around here when they don’t feel like stopping at stop signs and whatnot. Whatever they do to my car will buff out, and they’ll most likely be headed to the hospital.

You realize that most ICE vehicles aren’t carry a giant, leaking propane tank in the back, right?

I’m partial to the Turbo Hyabusa swapped Smart cars personally, but that may be because I’ve never seen a video of a V12 smart car.

Well now that I know I’m dealing with a moron this whole situation makes a lot more sense.

Android Auto/Apple CarPlay are both an order of magnitude better than anything car OEMs produce themselves. Google/Apple have far more invested in making good GUIs for touchscreens than BMW or GM or whoever ever will, and it shows.

An even better one: Does the V12 have to go up front?

Depends, how good are you with a sawzall?
