This is further proof that the iPad is the only tablet worth buying..the depth, maturity. and variety of apps gets better every day. Maybe in a few years dev support on the Androids will be on par with Apple, but not yet.

Take a look at the fuel mileage numbers...an 86 Civic is within just a couple mpg of a new Civic. There is a myth that newer cars are so drastically better with fuel efficiency. To compare a Thunderbird of the 60s to today is crazy..going back 20 or 25 years is a better number.

But anybody with half a brain can work on an older car..it's basically bolts and gaskets. Pretty much nobody has the ability to do an overhaul on a newish car in their garage or backyard.

No. Just no. The simple fact is that the alternatives are not there yet. You need to deal with the reality as it exists, not how you want it to be. Battery tech is not there. Hydrogen is not there.

That job doesn't exist at Apple.

This seems like pretty good news. If some of these hypermiling / fuel burning R&D breakthroughs can be adapted to the real world and have a vehicle get even 100mpg...I'd obviously be great. Hell, the new mustang v8 gets better gas mileage while having nearly double the horsepower as the 1989 version...so fuel…

The reality is that battery tech isn't where it needs to be. Making fossil fuels burn more efficient is still an important goal.
