I see no change in Apple's growth unless some other company does something truly creative.

@Philip Barnett: I'm looking something original from MS. As an Apple fanboy, I want some competition for iPad. I think it's the height of laziness if MS releases touchscreen tablets (or at least offers Win7 to other companies) using a typical version of Win7. If their aim is to be something Android-like...then put

@Philip Barnett: But they have everything to do with this project. If MS had just one creative designer/engineer/whatever with an idea, this 3rd party skin wouldn't be necessary.

Why does an outside company have to even do this? MS has more resources than ANYBODY who even thinks about creating a skin for a Win7 tablet.

@Grive: Considering that these supercars already have preeemo paint jobs...it would be like that surgeon shaving your head, going into your skull and down your neck to floss your teeth

...and 1 mud puddle or somebody cleaning their windshield in front of them makes it all for naught.

@jaycustom79: Exactly. I think they'll have to do some different things to keep the show fresh. I'd almost like to see some Junkyard Wars type challenges with the best-of-the-best viewers.

Does this helmet bring anything to the table that the F-35 doesn't? Serious question.

@matt310: Go with the Gulfstream G550...that bad boy's got some range.

Damn, 7 more years? I don't know how cable TV works as much, but to renew a show 7 years is almost unheard of.

It's not thaaat bad of a deal for a wealthy person. To charter a flight like that it'd prolly be 15k per hour.

@madisomi: man of ren: Mos Def...Palm OS would be great - I hope HP doesn't screw it up. Releasing the Slate with Win7 isn't a good start though.

@jimstoic: In that case the idea is brilliant. Sign me up!

Two words: Brilliant

This is a great idea. Not only do you save a cardboard box, but you also potentially save other bags/boxes down the road when you use it. Although after like 10 times using the tote service, what the heck do you do with all those bags? I know what my relatives are getting for Christmas!

@Facebook: Their definition of the market is an unqualified success... which means other companies will try to duplicate it.

MS is so far behind Apple in the tablet market, and it only comes down to one reason: the OS. Apple has defined the market, and Win7 on a tablet is doomed for failure.

Yeah, you may be right. At some point, over a number of years, there's going to be a very awkward transition between interfacing with the computers of now and the computers of Minority Report. It will be interesting...
