@tyler.derden: Do you buy the absolutely cheapest of everything that serve the same function as higher priced alternatives? This fan is sweet...it's a frikkin fan with no blades. Screw the economy of it, it's badass.

This is a wonderful idea. I had my card stolen from behind a bar once, so this app/concept would obviously solve that. The only thing is would security be a problem? It seems all those wireless CC numbers bouncing around the ether in some random bar might make an attractive target for the good folks over at Google.

@Arken: Conspiratorial hyperbole.

@Celtic1888: It is probably a sad coincidence. Don't officers of large companies have to do SEC filings when they sell a large block of their holdings in their company? Also, it was a month before the spill. It makes no sense to suggest that he knew about it month(s) beforehand... because what oil company actually

@Arken: ...settin' up the straw man, only to knock him down...Let BP take blame for what they deserve to take blame for. Anything beyond that is unnecessary.

The explosion happened at 10pm...would the alarm be necessary at that time if most of the rig was awake?

I'll admit, I want it. I know it's expensive, but I still want it. This is one of those products that while I can afford it, I'll prolly still feel a little guilty if I bought it.

@Tony Kaye: Not directly addressed to me, but I get your point. I had my say, and I'm done with this thread. Sorry for the heartburn

@Dr. What?: Really?!? That's pretty much the most insane comparison ever. The Muslims were sending death threats and sent that illustrator into hiding. I honestly don't believe that the top post and the Muslim cartoon thing is even remotely on the same planet.

I'm an Apple fanboy and I really disagree with the first 3. Number 4, though, is a fact.

@musiqrulez: Yeah, Walmart is as notorious a dataminer as Google is. With a particular garmet, they certainly would know if you bought the garment simply by recording your debit/credit card purchase.

@Cow: If it's not their fault, then theoretically no.

So if you buy a garment that has a passive tag stitched to it (they already do this at other retailers like Banana Republic) and you don't cut it off...the most Walmart could do is put a reader at the door to track when you come into the store. They probably wouldn't have the ability to cross reference that garment

@kitsuneconundrum: lol, there's only about 100 countries that could fit that bill these days...actually it's not lol, but whatever...

I want to be a Russian billionaire.

@OMG! British Dinosaur!: Sure, when you've created a gajillion characters, you're bound to have a few misses. There's a reason ol' Carl hasn't been given his own movie yet.

I'm a BIG fan of Stan Lee, but yikes, is the well running a bit dry? But since he gave me Ironman and X-Men (among others)... I'll let these slide. You da man, Stan!

@R.b.3: What did he do wrong?
